Gentle strength and balance

We are currently on holiday. Our online sessions will resume on Monday 30 May 2022.
Hope to see you then!

This exercise session is aimed at people over 50. This half hour class is gentle but effective.
We will focus on increasing your strength and balance. Which in turn will help to keep your muscles bones and joints to be strong, it will help to prevent falls and it will help to keep our brains in optimal condition too.

Exercise designed with you in mind

Not exercised for a while? Painful knees or hips? Or just like to begin and end your week with some gentle movement? This half hour class, every Monday morning and Friday afternoon, will be a great place to start. No fast, jerky movements, but this will still be a good workout for all levels. Beginners and experienced participants are equally welcome.

Most of our exercises are standing, designed to strengthen your muscles to help support your joints and improve your balance and flexibility. We sometimes use a chair, but we do not do any floor exercises, as we know many of you don’t like getting down or up from the floor. We also like to to be able to see what we are doing!

Friendly coaching, specialised in working with seniors

This is not a pre-recorded video, with some slick young man or woman who doesn’t even know you. We can see you! And even though we are not physios, it does mean that we can work with some of the aches or pains you might have on the day, we can give you some advice on adaptations of exercises. It also means that we can help you with posture- and correct you if necessary. We take the time to make sure you understand why we do an exercise and how it can help you your daily life. Our personal approach to coaching will keep you motivated to keep working to get healthier and stronger day by day.

What you will need:

• ca 1.5×1.5 meter space to move around.
• tablet, laptop or computer screen with internet connection
• two water bottles, cans, or small hand weights
• a straight kitchen or dining room chair without armrests.

/H3>My rates

Pay What Works:

The price shown above is the “true” value of the session that best reflects the work I put into preparing and leading your session. However, I understand that not everyone can afford to pay full price, and I don’t want that to stop you from joining us.

In an effort to find a balance between more financial accessibility and sustainable pricing, I now offer a “Pay What Works” model. This allows for financial flexibility while still valuing and respecting the work and energy I provide in creating and delivering these classes.

You tell me what you would like to pay:

For your new payment, please let me know if you are happy to pay full price, or if you would like a reduction
Please send an email to ailien@fitandhappyoutdoors.com with the heading “INVOICE please”-
followed by “FAHO 1” to pay full price as quoted below, “FAHO 2”, for 20% off, or “FAHO 3” for 50% off.

And please tell me if you want to pay for 10 sessions, or if you’d like to pay monthly.

I prefer payment by bank transfer. At the moment I do not accept cheques. The queues by the banks are just too long.

When you sign up, I will send you the link and the password you will need to join this session!

Like many others my work has been severely affected by the Corona quarantine, when it stopped my normal work from one day to the next. As I am self employed, I have no other means of income. By joining this class you help me pay my bills, and I appreciate that enormously!
