Adventure Walks

Adventure walks are social walks we aim to organise on a monthly basis. During these walks you will have the opportunity to explore lesser known parts of London and its surroundings. We might walk a part of the Green Chain walk, the Thames Path, or whatever takes our fancy.

We will usually opt for walks that can be easily reached by public transport from the Dulwich/Peckham/Denmark Hill/Camberwell and Herne Hill area. Our adventure walks can be anything from 1.5 to 5 hours. We will be covering longer distances on mixed terrain, so you’ll achieve a workout simply from completing the walk.

We choose a different walk each time, visiting all the best places in South East London, using footpaths, woodland trails and river side walks.

Anyone fit enough to walk the distance and terrain (which we will describe before) can take part in these walks, so it might be a fun walk to bring a friend or family member who is wondering what this Nordic Walking is all about. It is also an excellent opportunity to meet other regular Nordic Walkers who might normally walk on a different day than you.

We often finish at a pub or coffee place, so you can finish your chat over a cuppa, or something stronger, if you prefer!

Fees for Adventure Walks:

Most of our members prepay for 10 walks: £89.00
Single session: £10.00 (or £12.50 if you’d like to hire our poles)

Need poles? Check our shop and feel free to give us a ring. We are happy to advise you on the best poles for your lifestyle, needs and wishes.

Joining A Walk

New to Fit and Happy Outdoors? Please fill in the registration and health questionaire, which you can find here and email them to at least 24 hours before the session, mentioning in the header which walk you want to join. That will give us enough time to get back to you and discuss your needs and experience.

Contact Details for Booking or Cancelling a Walk:

Please sign up for our Meetup Group to easily RSVP and find out when the next walks are.

There you can also find the phone details of the instructor running the session you are interested in.
We don’t always bring our big heavy bag of poles, so make sure you text the instructor of your walk to let us know if you’d like to make use of our poles!
